EDUCATION

 

She studied Painting in the National School of Fine Arts of Athens and Plastic Arts & Painting in the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts of Paris. She also attended the “Hieroglyphics” Course of the Ecole du Louvre and the Course of Egyptology in Paris I Universite.She did a postgraduate course in the Ecole  des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales of Paris. Research and dissertation on “Herodotus, Egypt and Memory” under the supervision of J.P. Vernant.

PROJECTS/PRODUCTIONS


Dodo Santorineos has organized ateliers of artistic expression for the students of the primary school. She has been the executive producer for programs of the Greek Television as well as for educational programs. In 1987 she founded with Manthos Santorineos  the association EIKONA, Center of Research and Audiovisual applications, specialized in the production of audiovisual works on Art and  New technologies.  Five years later, in 1992, Dodo and Manthos Santorineos founded FOURNOS, Center for art and the New Technologies. The center focuses on the production, promotion and presentation of contemporary art expressions (theatre, dance, multi-media, music, and video art). From 1998 she is the Co-Director of the International Art and Technology festival Medi@terra and, from 1999 she is a member of the CICV Association (France).
