Born in 1972 in the Northern Territories in Australia, Abie Loy Kemarre is a painter who evolves within the Anmatyerr linguistic group.

Coming from a family of aboriginal artists registered in the tradition of Artenya, she is first guided in her learning of art by her illustrious grandmother, Kathleen Petyarre, herself a painter.
She begins by immersing herself in ancestral pictorial cultures using pointillism techniques and color to give life to enchanting canvases that seem to come alive before the eyes of those who approach them.
Later, she began to propose more abstract paintings, more emancipated from traditions, which gradually revealed her personal style. With the techniques learned, she dedicates herself to creating canvases whose regular subjects are: dunes, body paintings, and the representation of medicinal herbs.
