European diversity, its values and its heritage are at the heart of the exhibition “1 Europe — 1000 Faces.”
This exhibition is the result of work by pupils from the European School of Strasbourg, supported by their teachers, and will be presented at Espace Apollonia from 22 May to 11 June 2025.
“Through a wide range of techniques and media – sculpture, collage, photography, painting, screen printing, installation, kinetic sculpture, comic art, fashion design, and drawing – created individually or in groups, the artworks reflect the unique and diverse identities of each pupil.
Europe, more than just a geographical area, is above all an idea: a set of values, a shared heritage, and a spirit of dynamism. We owe it a lasting peace after decades of conflict. We owe it enriching cultural exchanges. We owe it the freedom to move across borders. Today, Europe forms the foundation of our identities – shaped by our differences and united by our common values.
Through this exhibition, you will discover 1,000 faces united in 1 Europe.
Because Europe is all of us – and its future is in our hands.
Europe was founded by our grandparents, strengthened by our parents, and now it is up to us – the children of Europe – to carry the torch forward.”
