Sculptor, monumental painter and photographer, Roman Zakharshuk was born on September 10, 1961 in Kolomyia, IvanoFrankivsk region, Ukraine.
He is a member of the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine. He studied at the College of Applied Arts in Kosovka from 1976 to 1980. Then he studied drawing and painting in the private studios of Victor Zaretsky from 1982 to 1985. In the field of fine arts, he worked as a muralist in churches. He has worked on sculptural compositions in bronze and stone. He considers photography as a continuation of his sculptural work. He participates in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Ukraine and other countries.
